What it isn't is an actionable blueprint to end "US Democracy"--as if democracy was even the dominant trend in the US republic--but it isn't nothing. It does tell us where the id of future GOP staffers actually is, and what incoherence in right-wing ideologies and interests needs to be papered over by an otherwise incoherent grabbag of ideologically opposed policies. Trump likes his demagogy much vaguer. But we also need to look beyond these immediate concerns and interests and see the long-term trends that are being exposed like lipstick traces.

Interesting stuff, I don't always agree with Varn but always think he's interesting and frequently ends up making some cogent insights on political economy development and labor relations and what's going on in major liberal unions in the US and envy how well read and broad his theory knowledge is. Sean KB from The Antifada is really good for that too.
