The only time I actually felt judged for being from bum fuck nowhere was when talking to a Californian. They reek of holier than thou
I got judged by a San Franciscan for being from Chicago.
Overheard californian family in Chicago talking about the great lakes "well they're nice but they're no ocean"
sounds like they're salty from trying to drink all that salt water and oily wastewater from hidden & abandoned oil derricks.

that has been my experience everywhere i've lived because i grew up in a flyover state that most americans probably can't even point out on a map
average american knowledge of very basic american geography is an ongoing and expanding embarrassment.
