I have an old shoplifting warrant I've never gotten taken care of because I've never had the money to bail or time to get arrested. I talked to my new manager about it and they're giving me time to get this warrant cleared before they run the background check. I'm in much better shape than I was a week ago on making rent but am still just a little short. As I mentioned in my previous posts I'm looking for work, but live in a small town so there isn't much available so am patiently (nerve-wrackingly) waiting for a call for work somewhere, anywhere. Until then I desperately need to keep my place. Due to the kindness of some great people I was able to get up $250 of the $350 I need, but I am still $100 short and rent is due tomorrow.

I'm getting real anxious because my landlord isn't very accomadating so if I can't make rent by tomorrow I have a very real chance of being kicked out (it's a month to month contract at a campground outside of town). I am terrified of being homeless since I just got off the street a year ago after having to for a few years. Hey all! I could use a little help. I was supposed to be above water now... But then my son hurt his ankle (everything is fine, just needs to stay off it for a bit) during the like one month period in which neither him or I have health insurance because of my job change. So I helped his mom pay for expenses related to that, and now I'm more or less in the same boat I've been in, with a lot of work and not a lot of calories to make last.

I'm off today and tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get some stuff and do meal prep. I work as a merchandiser, which means I travel between different grocery stores. My current plan is to make burrito filling and just leave it in my truck. I live in Florida, so by the time I'm ready to eat (930-11am) it should be nice and warm.

If anyone has tips for work lunches in this situation I'd appreciate it! Buying food on the go is disastrous for the bank account.
