I’m an atheist and I think Trump is the antichrist.
I literally said the same thing to my wife last week. I grew up in an extremely religious household. I am not religious at all now, I haven't been for decades. But I made the joke that it would be hilarious if after all these bible thumbers voted for him, and he turned out to be the Antichrist 🤣🤣
When I was 8 or so, I prayed that god would wait to start the 7 years of tribulation until after I graduated college.
I graduated in 2019. Sorry guys.

There was a web site dedicated to a proof that Trump has all the characteristics of the antichrist whereas Obama only has a few.

There’s an entire serious sub called (r/trump666). They are more level headed than you’d expect and downvote and mod people too far out there. They have a lot of deep serious discussions on which of the four horsemen Trump and Musk are. They seem to mostly disagree on which person is which dragon/beast/horsemen. Although, I think there’s an agreement that RFK Jr. is Pestilence haha
It’s all over my head but this concept is strong enough now that people devote significant time to reading the lay-lines.
Coincidentally my old handle on Gawker was a photo of Trump and my name was “DiabloHimself.” But that was back when he wasn’t running for office and just tweetsulting Roseanne.

I remember the first time I heard someone use that phrase Mark of the Beast. It was by a conservative who commented online in the pre-9/11 internet, and it was in relation to a new article discussing the possibility of using RFID chips in humans for very specific reasons. Pets have been having RFID implants to help find them when they get lost.
The guy insisted that these chips are the mark of the beast and he would rather die than get them.
I don't know if he is still around, but he if he is, he is probably someone who thinks Bill Gates is the devil for wanting to chip people but think Elon Musk is awesome for the same.
Lol back in the mid-90s, there were people at my evangelical church that believed credit cards were the mark of the beast. Credit cards.
I'm pretty sure they all still had them though.
I mean, they're not wrong. Enabling lower-income people to impulsively take on high-interest debt is one of the main factors perpetuating wage slavery.

Pets have been having RFID implants to help find them when they get lost.
Just a small correction, microchips in pets are there to identify them and identify who their owner is. They don't have any geolocation capabilities, its equivalent to hiding an SD card under their skin.

As the saying goes, you can't use reason and logic to get someone out of a position they didn't use those to get into.
The point isn't that it's fiction. It's that their book is garbage and they pick and choose the parts that they follow.
