I posted about this song's guitar solo a bit ago.
It is the heaviest track on the album, and it's the only one that I intend to make deviate from the usual tuning that I use.
Though the tuning I normally use is already low (maybe not by 2025 standards, though), being B standard (BββEββAββDββGββCββFβ) for a 7-string bass and drop E (EββBββEββAββDββGββBββEβ) for 8-string guitars, I pitched this track's tuning down 3 semitones, making the tuning for this song Gβ― standard on bass (Gβ―β-Cβ―β-Fβ―β-Bβ-Eβ-Aβ-Dβ) and drop Cβ―β on the guitars (Cβ―β-Gβ―β-Cβ―β-Fβ―β-Bβ-Eβ-Gβ―β-Cβ―β). This puts the guitars in 9-string range actually!
The guitar solo in this might be my proudest one thus far; it's actually intended to be divided between two guitarists.
I intend to scream my life away over the wall of sound that is the outro at 4:52. I don't have an actual microphone, but if I did, I'd record some demo death growls, as I intend to have the vocal part for this song be entirely with unclean vocals.
I decided to title it "The Ultimate Fate of the Universe," which is more clichΓ© compared to the original title I was gonna give it, that being "Supernova Funeral," but I thought it fit the vibe more regardless. I definitely wanted a spacey vibe as you can see.
