Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.
Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.
There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

Ngl I was onboard until the last part. I like that it's a nice, quiet, solitary job, and I wouldn't mind all the ladder stuff where you're securely attached to a rung with a carabiner, but relying on the tiny lip of those little pegs...no thanks. Surely there's gotta be a safer way to do that.
Yep straight up said nope at that part. Dude even was climbing it like a tree and using the carabiners as handhold part of the time.

like many boomers, my parents are decoupled from rational behavior. long after i left home but after i had done a solid amount of residential maintenance helping friends and doing odd jobs, they moved from what i think many would consider a "normal" sized suburban house to an actual what-the-fuck mcmansion. it is an architectural absurdity. high HOA fees, lawyer foyer, overly complex roof articulation, WHITE carpet throughout, and +14' high ceilings with recessed lighting. i shit you not, every design decision was made by someone hostile to the concept of maintenance.
i was told some christmas years ago that my opinions about any of this were not warranted and i should keep them to myself. it was a quiet, serious conversation where i was pulled aside and told to stop pointing out every dealbreaker i noticed.
they asked me to change some light bulbs one time when i was visiting years later, and i declined because i wasn't going to spend my vacation cheating death. seriously, i'm 6' with an OK reach, but even if i stood on top of the countertops on my tippy toes, i was like 2 ' feet short from even grazing the bottom of the bulb. they wanted me on the "this is not a step" step at the top of some Amazon Value special ladder they got on discount.
these videos where people go up this radio towers on attached ladders, even with those fall cages, even when they are clipped on... they make my stomach turn. i have tried "facing" my fears. i repelled down a 300' canyon during an adventuring trip once. the view was nice what little of it i can recall, but my arms hurt later from how tightly i had been clenching my fists holding onto the safety harness equipment.
