Yeah, obviously. The main benefit of having a natively supported kart racer on PC would be an active online multiplayer scene though.
(Yes, you can play emulated MK8 online with emulated wireless local multiplayer but that has a very limited player base and is prone to crashing and other jank)

I have always been of the opinion that Sonic and All Star Racing Transformed was the far better Kart racer compared to MK8. (Though the name is admittedly a mouthful)
I haven't put much time into playing Team Sonic racing, so I can't evaluate how it stacks up. I just vaguely know that the community reception felt that it leaned too hard into into the team racing gimmick and the game suffered for it.
If Cross Worlds gives me more of the game feel and mechanics that SaASRT nailed with a modern coat of paint and polish, then I'm 100% here for it.

I only half misread it and was confused about wtf a Racing Crossword was
Same. I figured it was something like the faster and more accurately you type out answers to the crossword, the faster your car goes.

I felt excited about that Chocobo Racing sequel a few years back, and that ended up being a micro transaction mess. This looks neat, but I'm afraid it'd end up the same
I hate the way Sega operates. I mean half of it is straight up gambling. BUT you cannot deny they have built up a lot of very recognizable and beloved characters over the years and they have that part covered. Game will definitely be popular if it's good.

If this is a crossover game and not just a sonic game, are we allowed to badmouth it? Or are we only able to badmouth the crossover parts, but not the sonic parts?
I guess they're going back to crossover stuff after Team Sonic Racing was only Sonic characters, I think. Which was nice.
Not looking forward to it because I know for sure it's not going to reach the bare minimum of CTR's greatness in the genre. Like imho the only game that has managed to surpass CTR in kart racers just happens to be CTR:NF.
