[–] 4am@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago

We have the right to graze on federal lands! We’ll take over the office! I was low on butt plugs anyway

[–] Ho_Chi_Chungus@hexbear.net 21 points 1 year ago

Sad answer is that live not too far from an active abbatoir. So, unfortunately not that far away.

there is likely a hidden (secret cow) nearby.

[–] wtypstanaccount04@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

there's a cow behind you right now

no just my radiator. (small apartment)

[–] Darthsenio_Mall@hexbear.net 10 points 1 year ago

i live atop a giant cow. her name is tortmooga. all the stars in the night sky. drops of milk strewn across the endless shadow grassland of the hereafter. revolving with boundless speed. ungulating into infinite bovinity.

As the crow flies, or actual travel time? 'cos there's, like, an hour difference between those.

[–] Othello@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago (3 children)

bird based measurements

Finally a superior system to metric.

[–] bubbalu@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

i live 30-50 birds away from a cow. (feral birds)

[–] WittyProfileName2@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

'bout a half an hour.

It depends on whether or not the rodeo is in town. For one month a year, I am 15 minutes away from many cows.

[–] UlyssesT@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago

I could probably jog right now and make it to a cow before I collapsed.

[–] GladimirLenin@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago

I can see 3 from my loungeroom window. Little cuties.

[–] Smeagolicious@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago

A minute’s walk probably? Neighbor across the road’s got cows

[–] LaughingLion@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

i got a cow in ma pants

[–] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

About ten minutes

[–] Beaver@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

10-20 miles. Although, knowing my neighbors, I wouldn't be too surprised if there was one within a couple miles right now.

[–] Dylan@lemdro.id 6 points 1 year ago

Some family down the street from where I work has their cow out grazing about twice a week. So about a 5 minute walk.

[–] Vampire@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

like 50 moo-ters, I live on a farm

Like an hour, buggers are everywhere creating some issues. I don't like them eating the plants. :(

[–] WoofWoof91@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

20 minute walk maybe?
it's not a dairy farm, but a smallholding that has a pet cow, they actually farm crops
nearest dairy farm is like ~40 miles away i think

[–] Zrc@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

100 meters maybe

2 miles likely, but let's say 3 miles to be certain.

[–] Abracadaniel@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

2.5 miles, as the crow flies.

[–] Judge_Jury@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

About a mile

  1. I am the cow (complimentary).
[–] iridaniotter@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

Surely there is a cow within 5 kilometers. I'm not sure where, but there has to be,

[–] culpritus@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

like cow in a field type thing, probably ~3 miles or so maybe less, I live kinda on the outskirts of the city, it's cheaper and quieter for the most part, but I can still get downtown on my bike in 30 mins pretty easily

[–] Sopje@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

7 minutes by bike

[–] Grownbravy@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

I WANT to say 50 miles, perhaps 100, but considering where I live, if there's actually one 15 mins away I should not be surprised.

Probably five to ten minutes. There's a bunch of farms out here - they're mostly horses but I'm sure somebody has a cow.

[–] OprahsedCreature@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago
[–] DickFuckarelli@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

Less than a mile.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

Used to live in audible moo range, now I'm like 5 to 8 minutes away from the nearest cow.

[–] manuallybreathing@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

less than 1000m, but i'm about to catch a bus, so generally about 4000m

About 1-2 miles, but the cow numbers are quite limited. Probably 10 miles before I reach high cow density.

[–] PolPotPie@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

live in a major american city, maybe 5-10 miles

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

200 yards, give or take

Horses is probably closer and chickens are right next door

[–] Hare@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 1 year ago

Oh about a five minute walk

[–] TylerDurdenJunior@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago

10 minutes by bike. 3 minutes by car
