A perfect example of how drug sniffing dogs are just legalized parallel construction.

The recommended dosage of 5 capsules of psyllium powder, 4 times per day may seem absurd... but the real absurdity is the diet that we expect our GI tract to handle.

The way Dems turn their few strengths into weaknesses is hilarious

As a young movie nerd, I found Roger Ebert's seething review of it very weird in tone. I think reading that was an important nucleator for leftism in me, as it made me suspicious of the emotional motivations that the older generations had when they explained communism to me.

I think a lot of people see Israel as this miraculous techno-utopia that sprung out of the desert. For them, it's not about Building A Better Future - the Better Future is Now, and the dastardly Muslim are trying to mess it all up!

We love stompy robots. I think MW5 is kind of an objectively bad game, but it's just exactly what I want out of a giant robot game. When I jump in co-op on my friend's campaign, I feel like I'm actually role playing as an in-game merc friend who's helping them out on an op.

I had an absolute blast playing Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart with a bunch of buddies. We just plopped down on the kart with some shitty laptops, passed a flash drive around, and in a couple of minutes we were doing LAN races. This is my utopian vision of what video gaming can be: homebrew Sonic themed kart racing in the Doom engine.

Their enemies are simultaneously so powerful that they can control the weather, yet also incredibly weak and lazy snowflakes.

It would be an inspired choice for Smile 3 to be about a Content Maker.

I want to host some LAN parties this winter, and am looking for some Free Software Games that would be a fun time. We already play some Counterstrike and StarCraft 2, but I want to expand into some actual Free games. Windows compatibility is a must, MacOS compatibility is desirable!

The two on my radar are:

  • Hedgewars, which seems like a strong candidate. We played a ton of Worms 2 in the 90s
  • 0 A.D., since we're already fans of RTS games.

But I know there must be some wacky ones out there which would be suitable for 30 minutes of pick up play.
