Henry Cavill will appear in Deadpool & Wolverine as a multiverse variant of Wolverine. His version will be wearing a long brown coat when he shows up,
So not main wolverine, but a second, cooler wolverine.

cooler than Hugh Jackman? Formerly Huge Jackedman? I like Cavill but he defined Wolverine for me for, what, 15 years?
15? I hate to do this to you buddy, but the original X-Men movie was 2000. With this movie, Jackman will have been Wolverine for 24 years.
Yeah but like, brown coat.
Did he fight for independence in the outer rim?
I remember when the casting was released for the original X-Men, the Fanboys were losing their mind, saying it was the worst super hero casting of all time, and how he looked nothing like Wolverine. Fan castings always aim for the exact look of a character and don't consider acting talent, so people were originally upset that Jackman is tall, they seriously wanted an actor who was jacked and like 5'5".
Let's be real, though, this was pre-Y2K, it was much harder to gage a fandom's reaction to casting at the time. I don't remember much complaints at all on the forums I was on, though I do remember Steward's casting was celebrated.
I'd be annoyed about yet another multiverse story with yet another cameo from a different version of the character, but given this is Deadpool, I trust it will give the worn out trend the satirical treatment it deserves right now.
So basically Deadpool is just Shrek but for super hero movies
Basically yeah, and like the Shrek movies the Deadpool movies are some of the better films in the genre it is parodying.
Maybe they will introduce him as Daken, after he joins the good guys.
Everyone says this, but honestly this man deserves a great project.
I absolutely love Cavill. He's been in plenty of sub-par projects, but he himself never fails to commit to each role and he always kills it.
Yeeep. The way they ruined both the witcher and superman while this man does everything right is astounding.
Man from U.N.K.L.E. is IMHO a very good movie. It also showcases how Henry could have been a humorous 007 akin to Roger Moore's rendition.
He's one of those actors that could take a low tier super hero and turn it into a household name, if he's put into the wider MCU I hope it's playing a lesser known hero that deserves the recognition
My fingers are crossed for his 40k project!
The emperor demands it.
As much as I love Cavill, I just donβt see him in this role. Speaking of which, could we maybe, just maybe cast a shorter actor this time around?
Danny DeVito with a VFX-enhanced muscular body and Wolverine hair wig
Nah he can be the short fat wolverine from another universe since his body is already perfect
Anatomically correct Wolverine.
"So anyway, I started slicing"
So, they're introducing the Warthog? I like this new direction!
I want it. Sold. Give it to me.
Cavil is 2" shorter than Jackman. At this rate we will reach the comicbook cannon height of 5'3" after 5 more actors.
We are making progress, but it is slow.
That's the joke. Jackman is too tall and handsome? Have AU Wolverine be even taller and more handsome.
Jon Bernthalβ¦just gotta come up with a reason for Punisher and Wolverine to look so similar
Sounds like a cameo spoiler
Jared Keeso was robbed
Keeso is also too damn tall. I always thought he would make an awesome Gambit.
Camera angles and apple boxes can fix that. I bet they can just shrink him digitally.
Also, Henry Cavill is three inches taller than Jared Keeso: 6'1" (185 cm) vs. 5'10" (177 cm). Hugh Jackman is 6'3" (190 cm).
So since they're shrinking the actor two inches per movie maybe they'll pick Jared next.
I doubt the guy from Letterkenny is going to end up in a Marvel movie. He's got too much 'tegridy
He'd make an amazing Wolverine, though. And since Wolverine is canonically Canadian it would be more accurate.
In my perfect Wolverine movie, Keeso would be the lead and Jacob Tierney would direct.
I love seeing him talk about building his own gaming pc and a few clips where he talks about painting Warhammer miniatures. He gets quite excited. π€
Huge Ackman is going to be a hard act to follow.
