Take a shot whenever you get hit. When you pass out, if your friends take care of you, you should recover in 1d4 hours.
That's 16 shots to whomever loses. No joke, I'd be drunk for 2 days if I had that many.

I've definitely had 16 drinks in a day before, just spread out over, yknow, most that day.

Very creative but I doubt it’ll catch on because of all the extra material and prep needed.
Beer pong only requires a table, a ping pong ball, and red cups, two of which are practically already guaranteed to be available at any party.
Battleshots only requires two pizza boxes, a sharpie, and a bunch of shot glasses, all of which are also generally on hand, at least later into the party
You forgot the ability to draw a bunch of straight lines, which is probably not that common at a party…
They don't really need to be that straight, and you can always use a square liquor bottle as a straight edge. Somebody brought a bottle of jack
If you have two pizza boxes, you can just use them to line up each other
But will you think of that when you're drunk, or will you default to the Jack Daniels?
You can just play it in non-Euclidean space, that would explain lack of straight lines
On hand? Household sharpies disappear a day after purchase.
It's why I stopped buying them in packs. I no longer lose 5 at a time.
Ah, I use them at work, and then they come home in my pocket, so I tend to have them everywhere
Solo should just start packing pre-printed tablecloths with their cups
We used to do it where we would set up two big squares of cups filled with beer, and the shots were mixed in amongst the cups. So you could see the other side, just didn't know where the shots were. So we were still just throwing balls, but trying to hit the ships. But we also had multiple people on each team because a 30 rack and a fifth for each side is way too much for a single person.
Well you could just have the normal board game but every time you your battle ships get hit you pour a shot glass and hand it to your opponent
This is how all global conflicts should be resolved.
I have played this before! The set of boards were made of wood and a door hinge and a white board up top for your guesses. Would be fun to 3D print the ships
I have a friend who did this (3D printed the ships) and had it at his wedding.
Love it, but this game punishes the loser. Which just makes them lose even more, unless its not their booze.
That's exactly how drinking games work. Beer pong works the same way

The people who are good at the game get drunk first, and become no-so-good anymore.
Once drinking is the reward instead of the punishment, drinking games get so much more fun for everyone. Yours sounds fun plus simple, I will definitely keep it in mind!
Another fun similar idea is drunk chess. Each piece has a value(for example pawns is 1), there are tables you can look up it's standard in chess. Each piece you take, you take its value in shots(highly recommend shots of beer). There are strategies this brings up. For example your opponent hangs a queen in early game, you can take it but now you would need to 6 shots making you likely to mess up the late game.
It's great! The mini games get crazy because people forget that there are games that are 2v2 or 3v1, so it changest the dynamics a bit.
