Now I want to vote for her even harder.

[–] KoboldCoterie@pawb.social 150 points 3 months ago (4 children)

Seriously, is this supposed to be deterring people? Who looks at any of those and thinks they're a bad thing, except for oil executives, corporate investors, landlords and the ultra-rich?

Remember that time when Fox News popped up a list of AOC's goals, then realized that their viewers might actually be in favor of them and took it down.

The fact that this is even a contest makes me fucking weep for humanity.

tax-funded Medicare-for-all

Is there another way to do it, or do they just want to add a scary word?

[–] Soup@lemmy.world 63 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Comservatives hate taxes. They complain that the left is entitled and then bitch and moan when they have to actually pay their share for the services they use. Nothing will get them more fired up than hating on taxes even if you show them just how vile and expensive the private version is.

“I earned that money(all by myself and at no point did I use any tax-funded infrastructure no not me not never).”

[–] boaratio@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Don't tell them about school vouchers. They'll never understand how that is funded.

A libertarian "sovereign citizen" is absolutely peak conservative entitlement. "I should have all the benefits of society while putting nothing that I don't feel like back in."

Imagine thinking these are bad things....

[–] HowManyNimons@lemmy.world 74 points 3 months ago (5 children)

These things are all legitimately good for humanity and .. life. Are Republicans literally ghouls?

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 30 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Republicans in office: YES, they absolutely are!

Republican voters: For some YES! but also there's a fuckton of propaganda aimed at them like... (checks notes) Newsmax for one... They're manipulated into believing these are bad things :/

[–] stanStani@sh.itjust.works 8 points 3 months ago

Yeah, part of it is they think government intervention of nearly any kind is worse than no intervention.

[–] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

but not good for billionaire pockets, that's the problem. humanity as a whole or a few hundred rich guys. fuck the rich

smdh.... OP missed the most damning ones:

-WANTS TO CRIMINALIZE KICKING PUPPIES

-DRIVES HER GRANDMOTHER TO BINGO ON SUNDAY AFTERNOONS

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago

-HAS BASIC HUMAN DECENCY

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 45 points 3 months ago

I especially enjoy that investigating companies is seen as an obvious and unforgivable indictment. They're not even going to argue it was baseless or anything. Just that she had the audacity to challenge companies.

[–] OrangeJoe@lemm.ee 32 points 3 months ago

So... Those are supposed to be bad things?

[–] HowManyNimons@lemmy.world 30 points 3 months ago

Wait. Are those supposed to be bad things?

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 28 points 3 months ago

Shit, that makes me want to vote for her, and I’m not even centre-right, or American!

[–] carpelbridgesyndrome@sh.itjust.works 25 points 3 months ago (1 children)

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 20 points 3 months ago

And these things are bad why?

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 20 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Vance is also anti-choice, including for women and children who have been raped.

[–] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 months ago (5 children)

Abortion is really the Republicans' Achilles heel. Harris needs to hammer them on that.

[–] mdurell@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

These aren't bugs, they are, literally, features.

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 7 points 3 months ago

Careful newsmax, studies have shown dem positions are overwhelmingly popular across the country when not branded as such, like people who love the ACA while hating Obamacare. I don't see enough "woke" or "blue" labeling alongside those chyrons, so your viewers might start supporting Harris lowering taxes.
