on the positive side, ideal revolutionary conditions will arise alongside worsening material conditions. people just need to be in a position to seize the opportunity.
remember that capitalism in decay is also what breeds fascism, though. every socialist movement must, first and foremost, be an antifascist one. it is absolutely indispensable to avoid that the collapse leads to barbarism instead of socialism.
