Eating wild mushrooms you find is a very bad idea entirely separate from all drug questions.
right, this is true. i was operating under the assumption that all the proper identification and relevant safety precautions were taken beforehand.
It is legal to buy mushroom spores which do not themselves contain any psychoactive ingredients. Hypothetically, such spores could be grown in a sterilized box to ensure the resulting mushrooms are the right type.
oh shit that's terrifying, thank you for the info! I'll try to find the steps to avoid in order to not accidentally end up buying and growing spores
The process is the exact same for growing oyster mushrooms you just use a different substrate
Did you know there's a subreddit dedicated to rice? /R/unclebens
lol I used to go pick shrooms all the time. Garbage bags full. I live in a part of Texas where cows in pastures outnumber the humans by a large margin. Pick a farm road. Drive it. Find cows. Pick mushrooms in cow shit. Eat one or two for every handful I bagged. Be floating a couple inches above the ground by the time I was finished. I’d fill grocery store bags in about an hour if I got there at the right time.
Consumption itself is not illegal, I don’t think. It’s possession that is illegal. But, certain religious groups can consume and possess psilocybin legally.
Fuck. I’m in the one place in Texas one can find the odd peyote button still. Not like 20 years ago tho. You could find hundreds of them if you knew where to look.
