Very strong, "They can't be THAT poor, they've got cell phones", vibes.

News to me that there's only 80 million Americans.

Oh, you're poor? Have you considered cutting out all of your loved ones from your life in an effort to save money?

They don’t care about the price of eggs. They want to eradicate the poor

/r/WhitePeopleTwitter is an example of whites wanting special treatment even when they're already given special treatment. Twitter itself is a white platform, along with r*ddit. It makes sense to have /r/BlackPeopleTwitter to create a space for black users (tho we all know that sub is full of whites doing blackface).

Real "Why is there a Black History Month, but no White History Month?" energy.

I thought it was a joke to begin with. Like "look at how white this person is". It took me a long time to realise that they weren't in on the joke

So 255 million Americans didn't travel. Also where are these numbers coming from cause I'm trying to find the same information for last year to compare.

if you're ever astonished when a US American doesn't know this or that well known, surface level, fact about a given country,

remember that same level of ignorance extends to our own country. A decent chunk of us aren't even aware of how many people live here.

Wow that thread was an annoying read, glad I'm off Reddit. I always forget how unbearable that place is until I go back for a bit
