I have complained about it before but I heard on of the guests from guerrilla history on the deprogram make this argument and it made me want to gouge my eyes out. This kind of trans historical argumentation is both stupid and unmarxist, just stop! Sorry I felt the need to vent.

These states were not imperialist and they weren't settler colonies. This framing doesn't make any fucking sense when transfered to a medieval context. Like the best you could say is that the Italian city states represented an early firm of merchant capital, but even then that is an incredibly complex phenomenon that has only a tenuous connection to modern capitalism. Calling these city states early capitalism is just a fancy way of saying "lol u hate capitalism yet you exchange good or service! Curious!"

Seriously just stop. I don't know why this set me off but it was like a week ago and I am still mad about it.

So I work with samples that have a very short life expectancy, like 24 hours. This means we get lots if direct shipments where our clients are paying for a courier service to get a guy to drive samples like half way across the country as fast as possible. So the fucking problem i have is that we close at 11pm and yet i am constantly getting calls from drivers at like 1am being like "where are you i am outside!!" And I have to be like "LOL I am in bed an hour away." Which means the guy is gonna have to sit in the parking lot for 6 hours for someone to arrive to receive the package. Inevitably after this happens i start getting calls from the courier PM's that try and bully me to stay late, literally threatening to report me to my boss if I don't agree. Luckily my boss is pretty cool and has said in writing that these people can fuck off and I should just leave at closing time.

I know what is happening is that the fucking blood suckers at the courier company refuse to tell their clients that they can't do something, and instead rely on all us workers to just knuckle under and eat shit to get it done. Like can't someone actually in charge take responsibility? And the worst part is that I genuinely do feel bad about the samples and drivers. The samples are given by sick people hoping for help and my heart hurts to think their pain might be going to waste. And the poor bastards doing the driving are paid shit to drive their own car 16 hours a day only to arrive after hours because their manager can't handle a fucking schedule.

Like let's put aside socialism, morals, basic humanity. Why the fuck does the west support Israel to the degree it does? Like it only alienates basically every other potential partner in the ME. It can't effectively serve as a barracks state because who would we need that army to fight that wouldn't only make things worse? Their economy is basically propped up by the USA. Yes they serve as a platform for weapons and systems testing, but they don't need a complete blank cheque too it. Like I don't get this logic. Cut em a check and pull bibi's leash and wash your hands of it. Like the logic of "Unconditional 110% support" is just fuckin nuts. Yeah sure a good bit of it us ideology, but there has to be some matrierial calculus in there somewhere. They are basically sacrificing the baby Ukraine over this.

Hey all I was hoping for some advice on acquiring low cost injection supplies for my hrt. I last bought them in bulk before the pandemic, and I am only now just running out, and I am finding it incredibly hard to find what I need. I use 1ml luer lock syringes with 1.5in 23g injection needles and 1in 18g draw needles. The one place I have found them readily available is Amazon, I know boo hiss. They are specifically listed as non medical, but they strangely say that they are rated for vetinary usage. Like are thos safe to buy? I have found some, moderately priced, through a dental supply company but I would like to buy a stockpile just in case. Yall have any insight or advice?
