And crucially, they can only imagine winning an argument in good faith against a good faith opponent, without fundamentally changing the politics of their opponent outside of this one argument. Republicans imagine the mass executions of democrats, while democrats imagine one Republican doing the right thing and voting on some milquetoast reform bill.
This is actually something I use as a “canary in the coal mine”/“Van Halen M&Ms” thing- if someone talks about M-R Pact as Hitler and Stalin were BFFs, then I know they’re full of shit. There’s a new Cold War history series on Netflix, and as soon as they said it, I knew series was trash and turned it off.
It was the first of its kind!
But in fairness, I have never really liked any other card games or felt the need to play YGO, etc. Except a younger family member is big into Lorcana now, so I am enjoying playing that with them.

The water park episode is a classic- one of their best because it just takes these very insular little monsters and unleashed them into a stand-alone adventure into a separate defined little world and them just thrashing against the restrictions of the park
