Prediction: Kamala wins, but she gets impeached less than 2 years in. For some unexplained reason, her getting impeached will have actual consequences.

Dude thinks she’s westernized because she doesn’t build bombs or rockets in her free time.

I drew a picture of the structure of the earth according to ancient arabian cosmology.

explanationOn the top is Earth, which is flat. there are actually 7 Earths, but I was too lazy to draw the rest

The Earth by its self is unstable. Without support, it would fall out of the sky. That is why god created an angel to hold the Earth up.

The angel, not being able to fly for some reason, needed footing to stand on. So god created a giant rock of ruby for the angel to plant their feet and hold up the earth.

Much like the earth though, the ruby could also fall. God being all knowing and all wise understood this and created a bull of galactic proportions. The bull's name was Kuyutha and it is said to have four thousand eyes, noses, ears, mouths and feet. To get a grasp of its size, know that between each foot is the diameter of the earth.

Yet this structure can still fall.

Thankfully, god stepped in and created Bahamut, the cosmic fish. And around and underneath Bahamut, water.

This is what we know of the earths structure. Anything below Bahamut and its water is the dark abyss of the unknown. Some say the 7 hells can be found in the darkness, but no one truly knows for sure.

We definitely know about the fish though. The fish is real as fuck and I'm so glad I can count on it to hold us up. Thank you Bahamut the big fish.

whole workplace just got firedMy workplace just shut down abruptly - the whole business, gone. In other words - I’m out a job now.

I heard they hired some consultants to help restructure the business. Maybe that was a sign I should have updated my résumé? But I understood that if I were fired, then the business was fucked. My job was only worth 17$, but it was one of the many pillars in my department that could not break. "They can't fire me," I thought. I guess it was naïve of me to think that toppling the structure wasn’t an option.

Filing for unemployment is always the most tedious shit. I’m not looking forward to it.

I had 71 hours worth of vacation time. I had scheduled some PTO in the morning. Approved in the afternoon. Valueless in the evening.

From the owner, “For you it’s your jobs. For us it was everything”

Fuck you.

Two of my checks bounced back. You better have my money.

Microsoft pushed for standardized use of their OOXML which was needlessly complicated and purposefully full of bugs when run on LibreOffice so instead of telling the world to stop adopting Microsoft's shitty doc formats, Munich took the much easier option and followed the herd.

the hexbear community is 70% right and 30% wrong

I don't think I've ever seen such clear examples of poverty pushing people to make 'bad health decisions'.

I would expect as much. You're describing what already exists in airports, except you also have to pass an in-person interview to be considered.

slightly unrelated but I had to listen to my coworker complain about a homeless person he saw who was on his smartphone and smoking a cigarette yesterday. It wasn't enough to be homeless, you had to be a monk and a saint to garner his sympathy.
