I found it hilarious when I saw pics of users saying they thought USians working 2 jobs just to stay alive was CPC propaganda, lmao

I have had multiple DM convos with Chinese netizens who are like wait holy shit its that bad? Then we will go back and forth talking about how its capitalisms fault and having extremely based conversations. Its SO refreshing to chat with them. Outside of lemmy its so rare to talk to someone as based as they are.

Really makes me want to make an account, but I have been trying to be less internet addicted this year kitty-cri-texas

Lol ya i get that struggle. What i would recommend if you really want to make one is do so, and then every 10 minutes you spend on it you must take a break and exercise. Moderation is key.

Moderation.

What obscure language did you steal this word from and what is its meaning?

[–] Wolfman86@hexbear.net 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I think you need a drink with it…

[–] BodyBySisyphus@hexbear.net 13 points 2 weeks ago

izutsumi-idea I think you're right!

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 23 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Thanks! Might have to do that (and stay off of Lemmy.ml for a while, I'm overdue for a break from there).

Coincides with my 1 week enforced "vacation" from asklemmy@lemmy.world for calling out transphobia "aggressively."

[–] Binette@lemmy.ml 12 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 12 points 2 weeks ago

Eh, what can you do, if moderators care more about aggression towards transphobia than taking a hardline stance against transphobia, then there's not much that can be done to help.

They permabanned me a while back for being racist

Go figure

If the poster in front of you falls/takes a break, pick up their keyboard and keep posting!

Wait until they find out there are Americans working three jobs and/or gig work 🙃

The older I get, the more that clip angers me. That said, the older I get, the more I enjoy this clip. Though, it would have been even better if he'd nailed him square in the head.

What the fuck?! And people clapped at that too?! I don't know why I'm continuously surprised at the depravity of the American empire, you'd think one would stop finding such clips surprising after some point and yet...

They have gig work in China too (delivery apps usually). But the difference is, the government in China actually has made the push in recent years to get the companies to treat their workers as workers, and be humane, unlike our Western apps.
