guess these are the “Sisko poison-gassing a Maquis planet and making it uninhabitable for 50 years was such a great way to deal with a resistance movement” enjoyers

The Maquis were a bunch of space glampers super mad that the Federation will no longer support their colonization efforts in contested territory so they started doing adventurism instead of moving to one of dozens of established worlds where all of their needs are guaranteed to be met by law

and to specify the poisons were species-specific, like it was totally habitable for Cardassians without the slightest ill effect on their health

I rate the captains based on who I'd like to serve under as an officer. Sisko is low on that list. Not as low as Janeway of course but not much higher. He's a little too willing to poke bears for my comfort.
