guessing this person is desperately lonely for friends and thinks other people will come up to him and strike up a conversation about how they're too scared to wear their gear

Or he maxed his card buying Trump gear and is modeling his wares going to pay his rent.

Which sounds impossible but there was a guy who did something close to this who desperately wanted to sell his overstock in the parking lot where i work
