Look this is bad, but if Ursula K LeGuin introduced a planet where trees are currency I’d love that shit.
A sort of neo-feudalism based off of ownership of trees (and the land they're on) being used in terraforming perhaps.
I could copy paste her tweets and put them in badposting and they'd be indistinguishable from badposting bits. Actually i might go do that see how many people catch on
But banknotes are made of cotton fibre, instead of wood fibre. So the dollar isn’t backed by trees, dummy.

i like how much she talks about communism and economics without having even the beginning of a basic understanding of any of it. like this is the kind of thing i'd expect out of a 14 year old trying to figure out how money works. still, maybe the tree based economy is better than the gaming based economy she proposed last time

heh, yeah, my ideas are so out there and weird. i guess that's all in the job description of being an artist!!! 
I always want to do bits about stupid crypto concepts like "TreeCoin! The first cryptocurrency backed by trees!" but it always turns out to actually exist and I've given up hope that I could shitpost hard enough to come up with one that doesn't. I don't even have to look it up to know that something like TreeCoin already exists, and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if there were ones named after each specific type of tree.
