Communism is when private companies and highly privatised, pro-capitalist governments do capitalism, checkmate commie.

Remember when libertarians used to say it’s “crony capitalism” or it’s “corporatism”?

an actual (paraphrased) conversation i had with a childhood family friend who always tells you to “google voluntaryism” but is a literal fascist

“so corporatism is when corporations control the government, and that’s bad?”

“yes”

“so we should regulate corporations so they can’t influence the government?”

“no, that would be socialism. we need to completely deregulate corporations”

“it wouldn’t be, but okay. so capitalists control the corporations, who control the government. and that’s bad to you since its corporatism. so you’re saying deregulating those corporations will solve the problems in government that not enough corporate regulation has caused?”

“no”

“no?”

“they’re not capitalists, they’re socialists”

some motherfuckers are so beyond stupid that it’s actually incomprehensible

and on a personal level, this dude’s dad was a cop who was kicked off the force for being too racist for ashworth tennessee in the late 1990s. when his drunk racist dad’s abuse became too much for him to handle, my family let him live with us completely for free

in 2016 when trump was suggesting armed ICE agents at the border should shoot anyone crossing, this supposed “small government voluntaryist” was all in for it. i reminded him my dad, who is iranian got into america illegally through Mexico and asked him if that changed his perspective knowing people like my dad who helped him are the ones coming here. he said “i love your dad like a father but i would still support armed ice agents with authority to kill on sight”

It's great when you can throw back what an illusion property is to them. Can't do whatever psychopathic thing you want with your property? Then it's not really property. But you can't violate the NAP right? Who's property enforces that?

Well duh capitalism is when you buy and sell things at a market

-these mfers

[–] CarmineCatboy2@hexbear.net 17 points 2 months ago

the weirdest people in the world took it to heart when deng said that markets existed before capitalism and can still be used in socialist transition

[–] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 7 points 2 months ago

They still do. And not just them, I see libs doing it all the time on reddit-logo

Ugh I was watching an aussie farmer's youtube channel yesterday and, he's rightly pissed about certain legislation that limits the tools of his trade that only exist to basically win political points / shuffle the state of affairs around to look busy.

But to the extent he let himself rant about it he was referring to his state government as being "leftwing socialists" and I'm just like "bruh" they're neolibs, in bed with the corporations and to the extent they want to restrict his liberty it is to defang the ability of primary producers to influence any sort of political sway and protect the ruling class.

I hate how ignorant my people have grown. We were a country with a strong labor movement once. It was critical for us to attain the relatively high standard of living most of us enjoy. Now that party is just turbolibs.

I too am forced by video game Stalin to buy video games from the state owned Gamegrad Game Factory.

(I have no idea what these people mean when they say words other than "capitalism good" and "socialism bad")

"Communism is Soviet power plus the electrification of the whole country plus woke video games."

So the most coherent explanation for this mentality I've ever managed to pry from CHUDs in my (likely foolish) attempts to debate them, is that they view any sort of large scale social organization as communistic. That's not how they worded it but that's the jist of it, multinational corporations are communist because they work across national border and organize large amounts of people and resources. The actual internal structure and purpose of these groups don't matter, if they're too big and metropolitan they're communist.

I think for a lot of reactionaries, capitalism is literally too progressive, they are actually anti-capitalist, but in the sense they want to go back to feudalism not progress towards socialism. The bourgeois are too urban and modern for them, they yearn for the return of the aristocracy.

Recreating Marx's chapter on cooperation from a reactionary standpoint lmao.

Capitalism is bad because it makes the workers cooperate too much is a wild take.
