i mean dexter wasn't even prestige tv, it's always been dogshit. new blood was the same thing but paced more slowly, which was alright for what it was. frankly i was hoping they'd just continue that instead of whatever wild shit they're doing with all that

Here's a list of tons of leftist movies.
I refuse to watch any more dexter after what they did in the season 8 finale
Yup. Fuck that show.
Should've ended Season 2 with Doakes catching him and Dexter getting executed.
Dexter prequel?? kid was already like 8 years old jfc where does it end??
crossover
Definitely agree about it being pretty lame overall. From the hilariously bad chomp sound in the intro to the smash cuts to 90s high school drama ... there is a lot to question about the choices being made. It's an enjoyable type of trashy though.
And I gotta say, most of the actors are really nailing their roles as younger versions of the characters we know
i still find it funny that Bill Hader made BARRY partly because he didn't like Dexter lol
never trust a man in a green henley
btw I did not know that lol, but Barry was a much better show
Circa 2010 I had a green Henley style shirt and wore it to a night club, I think with cargo pants by accident, someone asked me why I had dressed like dexter and I immediately left to walk home to throw them out.
TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT
Barry was so good.
i loved Season 3
My wife and I are watching it and I find it OK. Certainly not prestige. I hate the flashbacks, and agree that there's very little actual tension.
I was pretty disappointed when they basically just jumped right into "Dexter but all everyone is young"
I had been hoping for much more of Dexter and Harry working out the code, Dexter trying to figure out his place in the world, and Dexter and Deb forging their relationship as siblings. Instead they breezed through that in one episode and jumped right into kill of the week with the seasonal big bad kill.
Counterpoint: Anything with Christian Slater is automatically good.
I enjoy it.
I don't not enjoy it tbh but I just wish it wasn't so aggressively mid
