No he's right; racists famously stop making ridiculous arguments when you try and appease them. They should stop waving Mexican flags because it gives the racists ammunition. They should also not speak Spanish because it also gives racists ammunition. You should also probably dress strictly like an American with nothing that might indicate Mexican culture because that gives racists ammunition. You should probably also not invite your Hispanic friends because it gives racists ammunition. You also shouldn't bring up ICE detaining and deporting people cause it gives racists ammunition.

Actually maybe just stay home and just feel really strongly about it? Racists won't find out about it and they can't prove you're feeling strongly about it so there's no ammunition there.

I demand every Mexican to dress like a cowboy NOW

"Is there something other than Mexican you prefer to be called? Something less offensive?"

It appears he's chosen option 3: all of the above.

Showing up in solidarity to wave a bunch of the same flag that flies over the prison and detention camp, that is emblazoned on the shoulder of every cop and ICE clod.

Damn, "No investigation, not ever going to shut up" really is the lib mantra.

Kruse claims expertise in successful anti-fascist resistance and yet is a liberal, the political tendency that has never done so and in fact has historically given fascists power and helped them purge the left.

This is academic liberalism in a nutshell.

In part one of this saga - I forgot to mention Tom Nichols. He's a awful right-wing concern troll. During Trump 1.0 - he built his brand on being a "reasonable" republican. He appeared (and appears?) on MSNBC, etc. Many libs are stupid enough to listen to him even though he's shit. I had a quickie look at this Wikipedia page

Tom Nichols (academic)

Nichols had a cameo role on the HBO television series Succession, appearing as right-wing political commentator Ben Stove in the episode entitled "America Decides."

He writes for The Atlantic and I didn't know he pretended to leave the GOP in 2018 and is now officially an independent. Kruse quoted him because Kruse wants to remind everybody that the democrats must be "reasonable" and never, ever move a millimeter to the left.

I'd politely suggest that if you're trying to dispel correct claims that you're a fascist from a fascist country, maybe don't wave an American flag as you square off against human rights advocates?

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 12 points 2 days ago

Ironically in a more self conscious country a fascist government would probably do just that to avoid international scrutiny, but America (and Israel) know they can get away with it and no one's gonna do anything about it.

denial is a force of pseudoreasoning that many would consider...unnatural.

Why don't people accept MY right wing framing of these protests? Personally, I ALWAYS accept the right wing framing of everything!!! /s
