The Oscar-winner is set to play Cavill’s mentor in a variation on the part played by Sean Connery in the 1986 original film.

There ~~can~~ should have been only one!

Though, I can appreciate the meta joke about the ennui an immortal must feel after (what feels like) 1,000s of years without seeing anything new

1,000s of years without seeing anything new

We'll be that lucky?

The TV show was great, though. Been a while since I watched it, so maybe I'll do that.

Here we are

Born to be kings

We're rebooting all the movies in the u-ni-verse!

That made me laugh.

Funny as it was to see 29 year old Christopher Lambert playing himself as a young boy, Cavill will have a harder time at 42.

My money is on the worse case scenario. It would be insane for them to do it - but Hollywood loves trying to force the impossible to work.

Best case scenario: They use a different actor. Simple.

Worse case scenario: They CGI-deage Cavill and he loses a lot of weight for those scenes. Ridiculous. But the director applauds Cavill for his efforts at "authenticity".

This title was like a rollercoaster to me

There's going to be a "Highlander" reboot

Dear God no

with Henry Cavill in the lead role

Oh, OK, well, maybe

and Russell Crowe in a variation on the part played by Sean Connery

There should be a whole sector of Hollywood that is just casting Henry Cavil in nerd things. Plus a podcast. He could also live stream his nerd shit. Make it a whole network. They would make so much money.

"Hey, guys - this is Henry Cavill of HenrysNerdCast but you can call me the HenrysNerdCast guy. Haha. But now it's time for serious talk." Edit. He's in a room with walls that aren't visible. They are entirely hidden by shelves that go from the floor to the ceiling and the shelves are crammed with stuff. "Over here is my precious collection of 'Star Trek TOS' period era action figures..."

I think you're onto something.

The liberal treat part of my brain would be glowing white under a scanner right now. Pure acid, caffeine, and sugar.

What? But I was repeatedly told there could only be one!
