Our country has become too polarized. When did we start politicizing elections? It's time to come together as a nation and stop voting against eachother.

There are other parties besides D and R. You have options. It would really get under the libs skin if a 3rd party hits 5%.

Everyone here should vote PSL if they can, or Green if PSL isn’t available. It costs nothing (assuming you have the spare time) and has the potential to make libs very mad.

Under no illusion on the presidency. However making the libs squirm with a tally count of the left they summarly taunt and dismiss when they lose races by razor thin margins I find amusing. Votes they could have had if they wanted to but they refuse to pragmatically do anything for and actively fustrate anything.

It's more for down ballot support and building for local politics and ballot measures. Voting in the general, especially president helps gain support which makes it easier for them to have ballot access up and down in future elections.

I feel the establishment is mocking us. Giving us litterally the same choice with Trump and Biden. Doing the same over and over expecting different and they are litterally doing that while also offering no choice. Insert carlin-pog They Own You speech.

One could just passively surrender by not voting, but it's something that kind of counts that doesn't involve fedposting federal charges steming from adventure-time.

As Lawrence O'Donnell put it when he was in the Does Not Care he didn't have to listen to anything on the left because they kept using the excuse "where are you going to go?". The only way to make them listen is to prove you do have some place to go. 3rd parties.

That's my pitch. It's your right to stay home if you want.

Gonna fill in both boxes and also write in Uncle Sam

[-] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 12 points 8 months ago

A vote for uncle Sam is a vote for trump which is a vote for Biden which is a vote for putin which is a vote for...

I'm vooooooooting 150 times for both Biden and Trump they're my boys and I love them dearly, enough to do 150 counts of election fraud.

Afroman 2024, the only presidential candidate who's fighting for more sports showboating: https://www.afromanforpresident.com/

Beyond this I havent seen any more about him running. But I respect it.

Voting is just theater anyway. The system is on rails, entirely aligned with the bourgeoisie interests, no matter who's in charge.

Ive never voted, I almost did a few times but forgot or was sick or had work, each and every time it wouldn't have mattered

[-] M500@lemmy.ml 7 points 8 months ago

My state has never come close to electing a republican, so I really do t have to bother.

[-] Ildsaye@hexbear.net 11 points 8 months ago

farnsworth Good news! Not voting for Kang is a vote for Kodos, and not voting for Kodos is a vote for Kang! And you can withhold your vote an infinite number of times!

I've got my mail in ballot sitting on my desk here. Haven't bothered to open it yet. But I've also got some important loan and retirement paperwork sitting next to it that I haven't opened yet either, so...
