Unironically I think the land we cleared of Germans to give to Poland and Russia would have been better as a Jewish state if we really had to have one. On top of using the land of the people being punished for the Holocaust instead of an unrelated third party's land, it's around where most European Jews had lived already anyway.

Of course that doesn't take into account that Europen countries supported the Zionist project precisely because it got all the Jews to leave Europe.

This needs to be a tagline if it isn't already.

I kinda doubt yours is AI powered though

I found the company name in the menus on the shitty touch screen, stockwell.ai, so yeah it's AI powered.

Computer vision
Used to process transactions, keep an eye on restocking needs, and detect fraud.

Using humanity's cutting edge technologies to detect... vending machine fraud, a very real and serious problem.

But yeah, most of that could probably be done with weight sensors, though that would make the scary vending machine fraud easier. If only there was a way to make the machine give you the item and only after you pay for it.

simpler sensors like the hotel minibar things

Do hotels do that? I kind of assumed it was just the cleaners taking stock. Most of the hotels I've been in definitely looked like they had pretty basic mini fridges. Maybe more expensive hotels I guess?

Also there are no displayed prices. You have to pull up a list of everything in the cabinet on the shitty little touch screen and scroll through to find what you're looking for. Half the things didn't even have a picture to make it easier.

My office has some shitty AI store instead of a vending machine. Tap your credit card to unlock a cabinet, take what you want, and AI figures out what you took to charge you for it. Basically those Amazon stores but smaller. (Or at least I assume, I didn't see any mechanism for selecting or scanning what you take, and I didn't try it.)

What's wrong with a normal vending machine???

Are private chats not end to end encrypted? They should be, so it shouldn't be possible to moderate.

If not, it sounds like the app is a complete joke.

They did the same with Malala Yousafzai.

The solution, as always, is to address the material conditions that cause the shootings.

And location depending on how precise you get with the pin. You could literally give your home address if you wanted to, but I imagine people in general are likely to put it somewhere near their house, which is still too much imo. Even city is pushing it.

My husband just spent five days in a Plano hospital. They took a chest xray and a chest CT, and tested him for flu and RSV. Refused - refused - to test him for Covid.
Which tells me cases are on the rise and the local hospitals don't want the numbers associated with them.
Same thing happend two years go at a different Plano hospital. He developed a fever and symptoms while in the hospital recovering from surgery. Hospital absolutely refused to discuss Covid, consider Covid or do a Covid test. Two days later I had Covid. (I had been masking everywhere except occasionally alone in the room with him.)
Then they tested him. And immediately sent him home so that I, so sick I could barely move, could continue his surgical recovery care at home. Those bastards.

wtf hospitals just straight up refusing to test for COVID.

The center and right aren't coalitioned though. A minority government where the PM isn't even from the leading coalition makes no sense.

It’s a parody of 8values and LeftValues. No idea what the ideology of the person who made this is (probably centrist I think), but it’s funny either way, in different ways. Some of the intended jokes hit though, but maybe not in the intended way. Either way this post is a dunk on centrists.

Shown is a man, woman, girl family, but every 2 adult 1 child family now shows the same, with similar icons for the other numbers of each.

Actually it looks like Google still represents women and girls in the new ugly icons, but man and person (gender neutral) show up the same as do boy and child (gender neutral).

This is literally no steps forward, many steps back. Especially for Apple, wiping out both sexual orientation and gender representation. And Google conflating male and gender neutral is pretty bad too. I see no good reason for this change, not even a profit-motivated reason. I think it might have something to do with representing race. i.e. a silhouette is more race neutral than yellow. But they could just support mixed race families instead.

Microsoft on the other hand supports all the possible family combinations of both gender and skin tone, which Apple and Google never supported. Here's the built in Windows 11 tool to make a family. Each person's gender and skin tone can be changed.

Tangent: on the other hand, Microsoft refuses to support country flag emojis for some reason which is annoying.
