Older than 20 years means the range 20 years to death. Which considering there are like 60M people over the age of 65 alone, and heart disease has been the biggest killer of Americans for decades, this isn't surprising in the least.
We've done nothing to fix the healthcare system or the food system(s). Which both absolutely have to be socialized at least to the degree that everyone can have access to the same care and nutrition. They even quote a doctor who basically says this without saying it. Doctors, etc. can't say socialize or nationalize else Ted Cruz will have a heart attack on the spot and Fox News won't shut the fuck up for 4 years straight. (They still should say it though)
"We need to address worsening trends in heart failure, not only through medical interventions and properly implemented guideline-directed medical therapy, but by tackling the growing challenges in health care regarding access and coverage for appropriate and timely care," Bozkurt said in a statement.
Emphasis mine in the quoted portion.
"I dunno Doc, sounding a bit commie there. What, do you want to just give poor people free medical care, nutritional information, and food so that they know how to avoid unhealthy foods and lifestyles and also can avoid them? Pfft. Sounds kinda commie! Next you'll be suggesting people deserve the value they create and deserve time to rest instead of working their whole lives! Pfft! Oh wow, how convenient now you say overwork and stress also harm heart health!? Oh wow!"
