For the record, this loser also DM'd me a long screed about how he has trans friends and he's gay and thats why hes an authority or something. He's @ing me in some irrelated thread months later because apparently I occupy much of his mental bandwidth.
The Dredge Tank
The Dredge Tank. For posting all the low tier reactionary bullshit that you can't post anywhere else. Got some bullshit from Reddit with 2 upvotes and want to share, post it here.
This community was created with the purpose that Rule 8 fans will just block it.
The rules are literally The Dunk Tank's rules, just without rule 8.
Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.
Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.
Rule 3: No sectarianism.
Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome
Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)
Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.
Rule 7: Do not individually target other instances' admins or moderators.
he has trans friends and that's why he's an authority
dude didn't read the survey results, hexbear has several hundred times as many trans friends and is therefore the greater authority
A cis gay man? Transphobic? Not physically possible, tankie.
Awwww, he's an honorary Maoist because you get to live rent-free in his head
he has trans friends and he’s gay and thats why hes an authority
Sounds authoritarian smh
"As a white person with a black friend, I feel I have the experience to speak for all black people when I say..."
If we're a troll farm we're pretty bad at it.
How many of y'all actually venture out of Local?
change filter to all instead of local
still sorted by hot
all results are hexbear
How many of y'all actually venture out of Local?
I certainly don't with any regularity lol
the majority of our interaction with other instances seems to be them wandering in here and getting mad at our takes.
I don't even understand how this website works
based
sometimes I forgor too
I go to All when I feel like seeing lame programming memes from 2010 Reddit
I default to All. It’s pretty dead ngl. I went over to .world assuming that because they’re a big instance that there would be content I hadn’t seen or was interesting that I couldn’t find here. Like maybe because they’re were bigger they had more activity in niche comms. Basically the Reddit effect. No such luck. Hexbear stays winning.
I browse all but sometimes I refrain from commenting if I notice the domain isn't hexbear or lemmygrad because I'm not in the mood to argue with humorless libs
Not a chance. Fuck those other instances not lemmygrad
Pretty much never unless someone posts a link in dunk tank or something. I don't want to talk about stocks, sports, or do racisms so there's not much incentive to leave.
My experience on the site has improved massively since i've set my feed to Local only.
'gently steering trans folks' away is just so condescending, it's like it was made in a lab to piss me off
I've heard of punchable faces, and that was a punchable post.
The Post in general is really funny, its a dude complaining that the anarchist comm at solarpunk didnt let him and others do democrat propaganda and claiming that the admins arent real anarchists for removing blue maga stuff
He and others are just attacking anarchism and the db0 admins are just letting them
Also the dude is the one that was doing this in one of our posts
I think this is tagline material
Lemmy is a platform that was built by and for authoritarians (initially capitalists as Reddit, then only slightly modified by authoritarian leftists on Lemmy). The structure of moderation with mods and admins able to unilaterally take action and the difficulty of organized resistance inevitably leads to abuses, which is what this community is about.
real anarchism is when you let everyone be a shithead and have no aims to improve society, apparently
Real anarchism is when you BLUE on the most important election of our lifetime!! ~~For now~~
The structure of moderation with mods and admins able to unilaterally take action and the difficulty of organized resistance inevitably leads to abuses, which is what this community is about.
Organized resistance? Bro has never even heard of grass
the difficulty of organized resistance inevitably leads to abuses,
Resistance? To what? Literally what? Somehow our mod team could just do something wild and not face any form of blowback from the toxic trolls you think they created?
This is also annoying considering how much work we have actually put in to wipe away the stain of reddit on this site. Real moment.
If the workers went on strike (as happened on infrequent occasions), this was evidence of their alienation from the collectivist system; if they didn't go on strike, this was because they were intimidated and lacked freedom.
This is frustrating to me. On Hexbear, mod applications are essentially a formality for keeping out trolls. Applications rarely get denied. The place is defacto run by whoever feels like they care enough and have enough time to put in the work. It’s a completely volunteer based position. And everything just runs for the majority of users. The most hierarchical part of the structure is imposed on us by the infrastructure of the internet because someone needs to pay for the server and the domain. Hexbear, the infamous tankie instance, is as close to a flat organization as you can get given the constraints. At the end of the day, some people just don’t like having any restrictions put on anything they do at all for any reason. And it sucks to see them turn that into a political ideology and make it everyone else’s problem that they can’t handle living in a community with already-established norms.
How can anyone look at Traaa's Tactical Herd of mods and assume there's some sort of strict hierarchical standard here? @kristina@hexbear.net is a marxist, but unless there's something strange in the background Im unaware of, that comm is the most anarchist organized place on lemmy.
i can and will add any trans person thats not a chauvinistic piece of shit to the team at will. if a trans person has a complaint about the comm i immediately ask if they wanna help mod the comm and help fix the issue i hate how so many trans places online have been couped by libs and turned into little cliques, rapid expansion of the mod team under an anti-capitalist ruleset avoids this and helps increase participation in the comm. also having such a large group of socialist trans people organizing things is very beneficial for setting up mutual aid work and making real world differences in peoples lives. from what i can tell, we have the largest mod team of any front facing trans community on the internet, and we arent done growing.
~~also we have a rapid response team that executes cishets on sight but thats kinda just a fun thing we do on the side~~
Authoritarian is the most useless, anti-meaningful word.
The structure of moderation with mods and admins able to unilaterally take action
ideally, every awful, hateful comment must be submitted to a committee made up equally of mods, admins, and users for moderation decisions.
every ban is the result of a super-majority vote of the committee
/s, just in case
love me some good ol'
the cis man's burden ahh idiot
tankiephobic
It's like they're forever 12 years old
Thank you for your service.
Get his ass
but i must save all the transes from themselves!
the cis man's burden
PTB everywhere
PPB everywhere
Thank you for driving this weird creature back in to sodden pits and moors from which it issued.
I have never seen a more inviting and inclusive place for trans people than Hexbear. What the fuck are these people talking about when they say this shit?
So unruffled is still mad because he got banned from the ml trans comm over claiming is hexbear is anti trans because it doesnt allow libs
Thank u for your service
