I'm looking at rooves now. Cheapest metal roof was 18k, standing seam was 30k, highest end traditional shingle was 11k. 1200sqft

I don't think I'll be here long enough to make it worth it but I really like the idea. Only concern was being under some old trees that have been dropping dead limbs which might dent the roof

No one is forcing you to act this way. Your lack of compassion is evident in your inability or lack of desire to criticize those guidelines which directly result in the death and disablement of thousand a month

Hmmm did the science change or did the engine of capital decide it couldn't afford to have people treat covid in the way it should be. How is advocating for wearing a mask now in the midst of these regular waves no longer following science

"My heart goes out to the people who have had family members die, but I'm going to call people who want to do something about it extremists"

Please kindly fuck off

live in bubble wrap forever

Shit like this is why you're getting so much flack. It's so fucking patronizing it makes me only want to tell you to fuck off

Wearing a mask, social distancing, and regularly washing your hands isn't living in bubble wrap. Having basic concern for your fellow man isn't living in bubble wrap.

I know multiple people with long covid. I know even more who are immunocompromised who are forced into hermitude because people like you cannot fathom to understand the experience of living a life that isn't yours and how actions completely out of your control can completely destroy your life. Please do some soul searching and find a shred of empathy.

1.5% of deaths now per some quick CDC research

I'm sure the over 4000 families in the past 3 months who had someone die from covid feel similarly to you, that their loved one was not statistically significant and that it's for the best that they're dead so people like you don't have to live in bubble wrap

Did it suddenly stop having long term damage to the immune and cardiovascular system or did capital decide it was time for everyone to get back to work?

Sorry you haven't been paying attention in you comfortable bubble, but covid never stopped being an issue

I've been enjoying his more frequent videos

Still miss David Harvey though. Anyone know what happened to Politics in Motion?

Some speculation on telegram that it was discussed whole bibi was in the US. Useful as a token for Isn'treal to say they've won the war and do some kind of negotiated ceasefire. Not sure if that will actually pan out after whatever Iranian response occurs

[–] MattsAlt@hexbear.net 10 points 3 months ago

Yeah I think it's typical liberalism to want to point to one individual as the cause here when in an alternate universe the guy could have done the same thing but the conditions for the wildfire weren't there due to actually taking steps to stop climate change and properly fund and equip fire departments

If it's intentional, then whatever punishment the average American wants for him should also be applied to the fossil fuel executives and politicians who made this inferno a possibility

the-podcast did an episode recently, not only about invading during the Olympics (the Olympic Truce) [where the US never faced any pushback over 10 Olympics games throughout the wars in West Asia] but also about destroying or occupying sports facilities in invaded areas

Oh no, there's a futurology thread jerking themselves about how the West figured it out in the 60s and China stole the tech. Saying they're being reckless and also hiding pollution from it. Typical every accusation is an admission racism from reddit-logo
