A imagem no URL dessa publicação um print da interface do aplicativo Raccon para Lemmy.

Ele possui várias opções de personalização, além de tema claro, escuto e OLED também permite selecionar cores para cada detalhe da tela, estilo e tamanho de font.

Mesmas opções de personalização do Raccon for Lemmy. Paleta de cores, tema claro, escuro ou OLED, opções de estilo e tamanho de font.

Ele foi feito para suportar contas em instâncias Friendica e Mastodon.

Ambas são criações de LiveFast EatTrash.

Edit: consegui logar nele todas as minhas contas Friendica - venera.social e libranet.de - todas as minhas contas Mastodon - mastodon.social, ayom.media e social.vivaldi.net - minha conta Catodon.social - fork do Misskey - Kooapp.org - Lettersoap - e Pleroma - craftopi.art.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said jihadist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and allied factions launched a surprise attack on the Syrian army in the northern province of Aleppo on Wednesday. The toll "in battles ongoing for the past 24 hours has risen to 132, including 65 fighters from HTS", 18 from allied factions "and 49 members of regime forces", said the Observatory, which relies on a network of sources inside Syria.

Some of the clashes, in an area straddling Idlib and Aleppo provinces, are less than 10 kilometres (six miles) southwest of the outskirts of Aleppo city.

HTS, led by Al-Qaeda's former Syria branch, controls swathes of much of the northwest Idlib area and slivers of neighbouring Aleppo, Hama and Latakia provinces.

A military statement carried by state news agency SANA said that "armed terrorist organisations grouped under so-called 'Nusra terrorist front' present in Aleppo and Idlib provinces launched a large, broad-fronted attack" on Wednesday morning. It said the attack with "medium and heavy weapons targeted safe villages and towns and our military sites in those areas".

The army "in cooperation with friendly forces" confronted the attack "which is still continuing", inflicting "heavy losses" on the armed groups, the military statement said, without reporting army losses.

The Observatory said HTS was able to advance in Idlib province, taking control of Dadikh, Kafr Batikh and Sheikh Ali "after heavy clashes with the regime forces with Russian air cover".

"The villages have strategic importance due to their proximity to the M5 international highway", the monitor said, adding the factions, which already took control of two other locations, were "trying to cut the Aleppo-Damascus international highway".

Update 20241128

The toll in ongoing battles "has risen to 182, including 102 fighters from HTS", 19 from allied factions "and 61 regime forces and allied groups", said the Observatory.

German automaker Volkswagen (VW) on Wednesday announced it would sell its operations in China's northwestern Xinjiang region.

China has been accused of numerous human rights abuses in the region, including reeducation camps and forced labor targeting Uyghurs and other minority groups.

[...]

The Uyghur people are a Turkic-speaking and predominantly Muslim ethnic group that inhabit Xinjiang.

The region is also home to a smaller minority of ethnic Kazakh and Kyrgyz.

Human rights organizations have accused China of holding over a million people, mostly Uyghurs, in "reeducation camps," and making use of forced labor from detainees.

Last year, several activist groups filed a complaint in Paris targeting French and US companies, accusing them of being complicit in crimes against humanity in Xinjiang as a result of using subcontractors in China.

This web serial, along with its sequel 20020: The Future of College Football (both by Jon Bois), explores forms of American football in the far future that are extremely different from today's football. (If you aren't particularly into sports in general or American football in particular, don't be put off—I know basically nothing about sports, but I had no trouble understanding the story and finding it entertaining). What I like most about the web serial is its depth. It was very clearly meticulously thought out and researched, including various interesting little tidbits of local history and geography. I get the sense that the world, and people's lives, contain so many stories and so many possibilities that it's inconceivable to comprehend even a thin slice of what's out there. Give it a read!

Normally I want to defend art and the role of the artist.

Conceptual art, however, is pretty much bullshit, and this artist's reaction to the vendors pathos is morally bankrupt

Summary

A new treatment for severe asthma and COPD, using the monoclonal antibody benralizumab, could revolutionize care after a 50-year stagnation in treatment methods.

A trial showed that a single high-dose injection during flare-ups was 30% more effective than standard steroid tablets, reducing hospital visits and improving quality of life.

The drug targets eosinophils, a cause of inflammation in many attacks.

Researchers highlight its potential safety, fewer side effects compared to steroids, and home-use feasibility, though experts stress the need for increased lung health research funding.

This is specific to America bc it looks like there are labor fights going on in Canda, France, Worst Korea, and maybe some other places over rail contracts right now.

Someone was saying "Biden pushed back and blah blah blah railworker contracts" and being the shitty little hate fueled imp I am I went try to find out what happened. Well wouldn't you fucking know it, the rail workers who are most in need of improved working conditions, the people who actually operate the trains, haven't agreed to shit?

It's confusing as fuck trying to sort through shitty Google links and labor hostile/company friendly press. This little tidbit, that the people who absolutely need better working conditions don't have them and don't have an agreement to get them, was hidden in the fine print if it's mentioned at all. If anyone who is more familiar with this can check my work and confirm that my basic thesis;

  • Railway companies gave contracts to the people who are not critical to the operation of each individual train, but have not made a deal with people who must be on the train for the train to operate

is mostly correct?

Funny enough, the Trots at WSWS seem to have the best reporting but I can't really use that with anyone who doesn't already speak Maoist Standard English. The most recent article on the US rail labor contracts I can find dates to ~November 13, where it looks like all the papers bought one AP or Reuters release and each re-formatted it for their own websites. Nothing really since then unless there's a secret labor journal I don't know about.
