I thought the move to lemmy was like a linux/server thing (I am not mainframe literate). I read the message saying "you are not logged in, sign up with a Fediverse account" and thought it was a bit about how the feds lurk this site.

I somehow avoided all this lemmy talk up until seven days ago.

absolutely amazing, talk about it was everywhere for more than like a month before federation started and there's been a ton of posts about it for like 2 weeks now lol

Like what did you think you were seeing when you first saw all the complaining about .world and the like haha

The site's layout slightly changed and it was a little too much for me to handle at the moment so I barely used the site for a while.

About the talk, I only heard about the lemmy move like a day or two before it happened. I do remember how long the site was down for it.
