When ABC News' Terry Moran asked Pres. Donald Trump to respond to voters who may be concerned that rising costs are not what they "signed up for," Trump responded: "Well, they did sign up for this actually."

I would agree that generally speaking the folks who voted for Trump wanted the things he's doing.

I don't think they want the outcome of the things he's doing but is it really American voters fault that they are completely incapable of thinking that actions have consequences?

They want bad things to happen to people they don't like. They are only upset because they are catching stray bullets. "He's not hurting the right people!" is a meme for a reason. It's how reactionaries think the world works.

pronouns: "So what if costs increase for me as long as it's worse for the us-foreign-policy?"

I learned about the Hawley-Smoot Tariffs back in high school and why they aggravated the conditions that would snowball into The Great Depression

I guess everyone else was busy drawing the Cool S or something involving The Monkees

To be fair, you can't blame Americans too much for thinking that voting doesn't have consequences because of all the times it doesn't.

And I think they still want the things he is doing and are in denial about the consequences (anecdotal)
