My mom went through years of chemo and surgery. The last years of her life were miserable and painful.Watching her whither away into nothing like that makes me think that if I'm ever diagnosed, I'd probably just refuse treatment, live for a bit, then kms.
Sorry what happened to your mum. Also wanted to say that a lot of cancers are very treatable (and some are very much less so), so pls consider the prognosis from the doctor first.

When was this if you don't mind me asking?
Chemo treatments have gotten much better and do not always make you sick. My dad went through a few chemo treatments last year before they determined that it was too late for chemo to help and he felt no worse after the treatments (though the baseline I'm comparing against is still obviously being very sick).
