Is this guy stupid? He’s a multi millionaire and he can’t take acting classes to put on a fake persona? Lmao.
I don't think that's the point. he means if you make your entire brand your personality - how personable, funny, charitable, etc. you are - if something comes out about you to the contrary, people will dislike you and you'll lose viewers. if his personality doesn't feature into videos, then he doesn't have that problem.
I think it's about appealing to everyone at the same time. No matter the persona, it could rub something the wrong way. Better to polish away any humanity until you have something as bland and inoffensive as possible.
