I watched his stream during the starcraft 2 days in like 2011. Then I stopped playing that. I saw his name pop up years later at which point I was a communist. Then I took a trip down memory lane and learned he wrote a 10k word manifest on why it's ok to say the n word. So, I guess his fanbase is just people who didn't jump ship after sc2 or his gamer manifesto.
