I have a very crazy story about a liberal coworker who was obsessed with Hamilton. I have never seen the show and at this point I refuse to. I'd rather read X-Men comics about queer polycules on Mars.
I had a lib younger friend who was super into it. This was at the very beginning and I had no preconceived ideas about the show. We did a road trip once, and she played it on the car stereo. I heard a few of the songs and I was totally turned off by the style and by what it was saying.
LMM's musical style is so corny it hurts. It's always really obvious when his work comes up in the newer Disney movies.
Literally the only place I can say I tolerate his music is Encanto; and even then I still want him kicked down a stick pit
