Nutomic unfortunately contributes a significant number of commits to Lemmy and they tend to be pretty important bugfixes, core structural changes, and code optimization.

I have personally called him out on the trans issue before but he just doubles down while the rest of the lemmy/lemmygrad community kind of ignores him socially. I don't think he realizes we'd be nice to him like Desslines if he just wasn't an asshole.
I imagine most people here would be chill with Dessalines being a hexbear regular if he wanted to. But I'm not sure what either of them are motivated by since I don't see them around much (could just be alts though).
a little while ago, a project by the name of "polyMC" which is an open source minecraft launcher, got coup'd by the one transphobic dev and he managed to totally sieze power over the discord server and the github repository, and kick all the other devs off. the other devs all had to fork polyMC and rebase their efforts on whats now "prism launcher" which is of course very rainbow themed and whats generally recommended by minecraft players
