Not directly related, but I hate how chuds go "why can't we just be friends in THIS space? It's just politics!" because its 1: A bold-faced lie. They freak out about me doing gay shit or not expressing my gender, so they can't figure out how to be friends and 2: No we can't be friends in THIS space, because they want me to not exist in ANY space. Politics isn't just politics, it's life and it's also how you view the world. I'm not gonna be friends or friendly with some dickhead who wants me to disappear.
A local scene had to deal with those types some years ago. It was a place called "the youth house" which was supposed to be a house for youth. Of course some whiny libertarian freaks showed up, got shoved out and then cried about it, which was of course picked up by national media. "Well if THEY can't be there, then it's not a place for all youth!" fuck off. They got manhandled out because they couldn't behave, they acted as if they were in a zoo and got flabbergasted when the "animals" didn't go along with their shitty behaviour.
If they're there others can't be there, that's how it is, that's how things work. I've been to libertarian bars and it was a shitty experience because people like me weren't welcome. They said everyone was welcome, but that's never true because it's not possible to make everyone feel welcome and you gotta make a decision on who you want to cater to. In the case of the "youth house" it was trans youth, in the case of the libertarian bar it was some conservative asshole who called me a removed (I feel the need to stress this, I was on my best behaviour and I had done nothing to antagonise anyone. I was kind and polite until some guy went up to me and said "what's up removed?" And I STILL calmly asked him not to call me that, to which he decided to continue because "it's a free country". Somehow it wasn't so free when I decided to reciprocate his language.). No media attention for me though, no big show about how poor old widdle enbie me wasn't allowed at the "everyone is welcome" bar, weird that.
These sacks of shit get the world served to them on a silver platter and still cry foul when you ask them to stop stealing falafel off your plate.
Also lastly, they don't mind politics in art. All art is political, they just don't want it to be challenging to them. "Die hard isn't political!" No it just agrees with you/doesn't challenge your worldview.
It's the same with libs that say they're against "political violence" while arguing for the police.
Ps. Chuds are whiny babies, if they experienced even 1/10th of the pushback that communists get, then they'd end themselves.
But where are those poor libertarians supposed to go if not the Youth House? They sure as hell won't go for the Of Legal Age House
Being a libertarian should exclude you from any spaces with minors, no matter your age
To them, your existence is political but only their opinions are political.
