The rainbow flag or pride flag is a symbol of LGBT pride and LGBT social movements. The colors reflect the diversity of the LGBT community and the spectrum of human sexuality and gender. Using a rainbow flag as a symbol of LGBT pride began in San Francisco, California, but eventually became common at LGBT rights events worldwide.

Originally devised by the artists Gilbert Baker, Lynn Segerblom, James McNamara and other activists, the design underwent several revisions after its debut in 1978, and continues to inspire variations. Although Baker's original rainbow flag had eight colors, from 1979 to the present day the most common variant consists of six stripes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. The flag is typically displayed horizontally, with the red stripe on top, as it would be in a natural rainbow.

LGBT people and allies currently use rainbow flags and many rainbow-themed items and color schemes as an outward symbol of their identity or support. There are derivations of the rainbow flag that are used to focus attention on specific causes or groups within the community (e.g. transgender people, fighting the AIDS epidemic, inclusion of LGBT people of color). In addition to the rainbow, many other flags and symbols are used to communicate specific identities within the LGBT community.

Idk if you’re joking, but that’s the premise of the show and how it was marketed originally.

I'm not i'm just stupid, and although it's obvious in hindsight I don't think you can call it the premise beyond a basic 'anti-social guy solves mysteries' their anti-socialness manifests far too differently and wilson hardly if ever acts as a sidekick in solving the medical mysteries like watson does to holmes in crimes(their relationship is completely different), and i don't remember it being referenced in any of the ads back when it was actually broadcasting although my memory is petty vague on those

Edit: seems direct references beyond the name are blink and you'll miss it stuff https://house.fandom.com/wiki/Gregory_House_and_Sherlock_Holmes_connections

Sorry, when I said premise I meant I was under the impression that it was the explicit intent of the creators.

There's an amazing vegan restaurant in Dublin called the Saucy Cow, and honestly I don't know what alchemy they do there but the food is incredible. If you took a meat-eater and gave them a burger with cheese from this place they wouldn't even know they were eating a vegan meal

Thinking of going back after I finish kiwami 2 all the substories for 4, 5 and 6, judgement and the psp spin offs of doing all the side content for 3 kiryu-pain it's gonna be rough but I feel to be a yakuza elitest I have to play that game again. I do think while not great in some aspects I did like what it was trying at least.

I told myself I'd play pokemon fool's gold this weekend and I didn't and now I gotta sleep. This being responsible stuff is difficult once I get a job not even gonna think about dating if it means I have less time for my own things. Used to think that was the end goal after getting a job but now I just wanna enjoy my hobbies now.

So, I'd like to do some writing, and I'm aware that Substack has been overly accommodating to literal nazis, so I probably shouldn't support Substack. But where WOULD be a good place to publish longer essays?

Feeling anxious, I think its because I'm going on a day trip this weekend coming up and when I come back itll be kinda late and I'll have to walk from the train station to my car

Im probably being paranoid but that doesn't help the anxiety :/

My mind extends infinitely in all directions, yet I am stuck fiddling with hyper parameters on a fruitless project because my fucking boss DOESNT UNDERSTAND STATISTICS. WHY ARE WE FUCKING WITH AI THEN??? WHY DID YOU HIRE ME JUST TO NOT LISTEN??? Fucking Christ I can't stand wasting my time like this.

Jonathan Joss, 'King of the Hill' voice actor, killed in San Antonio shooting - NBC NEWS

The 59-year-old actor, best known as the voice of John Redcorn in the hit animated series, died Sunday, police said. Jonathan Joss, the voice actor best known as John Redcorn from "King of the Hill," was killed in a San Antonio shooting on Sunday, police said.

A suspect, 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, was taken into custody and booked on a murder charge, the San Antonio Police Department said.

Officers were dispatched to Dorsey Drive around 7 p.m. Sunday for a shooting and arrived to find the actor, whose legal name is Jonathan Joss Gonzales, near the roadway after he was shot, police said. Authorities attempted life-saving measures until EMS arrived and pronounced Joss, 59, dead.

Joss was the voice of John Redcorn in the Fox animated series from seasons 2 through 13. John Redcorn was a β€œNew Age healer” and masseur, who was always addressed by his full name or "Mr. Redcorn."

A new season of "King of the Hill" revival is set to debut on Hulu in August. In a credit sequence shared Friday, John Redcorn is seen driving by in his classic tan Jeep.

Joss also played Ken Hotate in "Parks and Recreation" and had roles in "Tulsa King" and the 2016 remake of "The Magnificent Seven." His most recent acting credit was in 2023 for voicing a character in the "Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty" video game.

Joss' family home in San Antonio was destroyed in a fire in January. An online fundraiser stated three of his dogs had been killed in the fire and raised more than $10,000. Joss told local reporters then that he did not have a job. Representatives and family of Joss could not immediately be reached for comment

After having accidentally made my rice blue last week, I experimented and I now have a portion of blue rice, a portion of red-ish rice, a portion of green rice and portion of normal white rice. I have given these rice different levels of spiciness. Should I serve them with beans of matching (Blue goes with black) or clashing colored beans.

The newest 99% invisible is an interview with Ezra Klein about how deregulation is good, Elon Musk is right about high speed rail and unions are bad. He faces absolutely no pushback from anyone as he just says the dumbest shit that they even acknowledged was controversial before the interview began

I was brainstorming a concept EP where Bon Iver and a-guy traded places. You know, they both went to the woods to process their trauma, but while one got into music, the other got into crafts.

Then I remember how a decade ago someone did a bunch of Alex Jones quotes in the style of a Bon Iver or Sufjan Stevens. They basically beat me to it, unless I would still consider fleshing out that EP and throwing it in as a cover.
