it's staffers & committed volunteers planted in the crowd leading the reactions to paper over any weirdness. same people who start the "four more years" chants to drown out any protests against the genocide in gaza. it sounds cynical but it's super basic in-person politics, and how you avoid stuff like Jeb's "please clap" incident.
That please clap incident was actually him joking because earlier in the speech they started clapping when he wasn't done speaking and had to stop them
It's still a hilariously pathetic clip but in this context I felt I should point it out, it's entirely possible they used crowd plants for the "spontaneous interruption" applause and the joke later just flopped because, well, it's Jeb
Makes sense locally, but it makes for viral clips that look totally unhinged.
Never underestimate the tendency of the average person to take what's presented by the media completely at face value.

Biden is the joke.
They are liberal piggies. They clapped on CNN when Biden talked about "many interracial couples in TV ads". Or during the Dem primary, where he just lied or made no sense. Or when he was correctly accused of working with segregationists to do segregation and his response to that was accusing black parents of not knowing how to properly raise their children and not having the record player turned on at night and how he will confront Nicolas Maduro. And the liberal piggies clapped. They don't care, they know it is all just a show and all that matters is that their guy gets into the WH and does what they want.
Yeah. I started thinking about who would actually be hyped enough about Biden to attend an event right now, and it started making sense.
These people are probably already as primed as they can be to react like this as long as the crowd starts.
