I'll be honest, I was tempted to respond telling the campaign to go fuck itself but decided it wasn't worth the time

The 82-year-old Vermont independent and two-time presidential candidate is currently at the peak of his power in Congress, chairing the Senate's top health care committee and working to push the Democratic Party to the left.

dont-laugh

He's gonna run again in 2028, get ratfucked in the primaries again by Biden seeking his second term, then run again in 2032, and he'll be president until 2041 when he's 99 years old. We won't get universal healthcare, but we'll get a partial tax credit for access to health insurance against any 401k investments, with a carbon offset purchased from Brazil to make it carbon neutral.

[–] iridaniotter@hexbear.net 30 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Nah he's just gonna die in office this decade

[–] bleepbloopbop@hexbear.net 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

dies in office, special election, gets replaced by someone much more ghoulish? Sounds about right to me

[–] HeavenAndEarth@hexbear.net 34 points 1 year ago (1 children)

[–] dannoffs@hexbear.net 30 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Just stop my dude. He was massive entry point for people my age to the left in 2016 and watching him go out like this is just sad.

[–] bigboopballs@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago

they shouldn't make another season of Bernie Sanders

[–] booty@hexbear.net 29 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

What? Dude, you were too old and frail to commit to the presidency 4 years ago. Fly to a fucking tropical beach and rest ffs, you already sold out, what are you still here for

i dont understand how liberals are so spineless and so committed to self-destruction at the same time

[–] marxisthayaca@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago

If he takes up space a younger person can't get in. Also the way the seniority in the senate is just handed down to the oldest fucks, mean he has more influence the longer he stays in.

Do I hate Bernie enough to send him back to imperial senate, or do I have enough love left to let him die peacefully in one of his many homes that I'll never afford? One thing is certain: motherfucker will not be receiving another dollar from me.

[–] duderium@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago
