I guess it really is all survival bias. People don't really get more conservative as they get older. People with more radical politics are more likely to die young.

Radical Politics tend to grow out of deprivation or some other kind of material lack, and unfortunately lacking materially also means you probably don't get to live all that long.

capitalism is the best system for forcing everyone into poverty, and slowly selling them back their standard of living at a 100% markup. it practically sells itself!
