Unlike the democrats, trump actually tries to win. It's one of the main things that people like about him.

Also, insert twitter screenshot of the guy saying that ever since 2016, the dems have just gotten dunked over and over by a golden retriever while they were clutching a rulebook and screeching about the integrity of the sport.

It's why he clashes with the GOP so much, coz he simply doesn't care about turning about face on stuff if it makes him popular.

He even softened the republican stance on abortion (or at least claimed to) by saying it should be a "states issue" rather than pushing for a nationally-unpopular federal ban. Which of course is still shitty but it's clear he's more interested in power for the sake of it than the GOP's principles.
