iwl watching this did just kinda make me sad about the USSR. but i feel that most days

The fact that they kept the melody the same and just changed the lyrics makes it worse. The Soviet Union was so developed and powerful that the stagnant state of modern Russia can still call itself a major power just by inheriting the leftovers of the USSR.
