Sinema and Machin killed a lot of his ideas in the Senate.

The way Obama fucked up his super majorities by letting f-ing Joe Lieberman filibuster the public option is a real shame.

american liberals love to be like "ugh corporate money has corrupted the democratic process and our elected officials are bought and sold by the board members that really write policy... except for my democrat, who loves me and kisses me on the lips every night before bed"

it's just, like it's kind of like they mostly know what's going on and they're mad about it, and then somehow their conclusion is "okay we have to keep this thing going as long as possible"

"We must maintain at all times 50% of the house minimum, 60% of the senate minimum, actually make it 62% to compensate for democrats who aren't apparently actually democrats, and the presidency.

And even if we get some laws passed despite gerrymandered representative districts and the entire existence of THE SENATE as a concept, well, SCOTUS will just wand-waive away all of that legislation, agreed upon by about 60% of the legislature and the president.

What can we do about SCOTUS? Nothing. That would be anti institutional!

What can we do about the existence of the senate and states which were designed to be and objectively are anti democratic in nature? Nothing. Do you not respect the constitution and institutions!?"

Repeat until we die
