I've gotta copy and paste my pitch, and I'm too hungry to write it rn, but I've got a solid idea for a 20th century spanning superman trilogy that is absolutely epic, decade spanning, interesting as hell politically and Superman is saves the cat the whole way through. Amazing super powers with save the car morality stretched from the 30s to 2000, I've got a whole thing. To be brief as hell, first movie is origin story but also golden age superman stories where he beats up landlorsa and the kkk and then when the 40s hits takes a limited role in ww2 appearing in propaganda films etc with maybe some here and there subtle direct aide here and there cause he's rescue the kitten guy and doesn't wanna get on the path of doing direct violence on humans and it being tested against the actual nazis is a whole thing. His lack of interference combined with the atomic bombs doing what he wasn't morally willing to do sets him astray for pt 2. Part 2 is an alternate Red Sun as well as alternate Superman 4. Superman goes and lives in the Soviet union after ww2 and being disillusioned with America, he still does some cat rescues in America for a while until his presence in us airspace is declared an act of war. He helps to rebuild the Soviet union post ww2 so with superman they're competitive with the Marshall plan and for movie thing he's technically the first Soviet to go to space but Yuri gagarin is still the first human, instead of development of space rockets he just flies em up. They get to the moon and even mars in the 50s. However he does discover that despite their reliance on him for space exploration, their is still rocket technology being invented cause they still get the bomb. Superman can maybe stop a bomber or missile but he'd need to.be deployed in time and he can't stop simultaneous launches, so the cold war still happens. Superman's red line is nukes as a cat saver, dude values life too much and is aware he's a superpowered alien so his impartiality is kinda essential to his not accidentally becoming a god king and after some brooding does a Superman 4 and just takes all the nukes and throws them into the sun Meanwhile through all this crap there's a long Lex Author back story and he's exactly the same dude from the comics, ubermensch enjoyed, rises through the world and essentially becomes president around the same time as Bush 1 does irl, at this point the backstory becomes a thing and he has some sci fi thing that's just as good as nukes and thar ends the cold war and Soviet union on even wors terms than irl. Last one is semi based on All Star Superman where he finds out he's dying and races against his own failing body and powers to right the world. I want a trilogy of 4 hour movies for this but it would have a fucking intermission so people can pee and smoke a joint and stuff and also I'm certain I could make it fly by.
