Nailed it. I am in awe, the phrase "legislation to stop unlawful meddling" is the perfect encapsulation of our political system.

We must act immediately to begin to introduce a policy which will then need to be pushed through a notoriously slow process that requires all the people in favor of the thing we are against to agree to what we must begin to propose and then finally be approved by the guy who did the thing we are against.
