this wave of fascism is tacky as fuck.

Always has been tbh
tbf nazis came up with an imposing and intimidating aesthetic as part of their propaganda.
current fascism is the most tacky fake-gold-plated badly-painted ai-generated slop.
tbf nazis came up with an imposing and intimidating aesthetic as part of their propaganda.
Which was extremely tacky. It's like a dude who thinks he's tough if he just dresses up as a bad guy
You just made me realize that Trump's ~$100 million birthday military parade he's giving to himself will be truly great in at least two ways. One, it will be gaudy and tacky beyond belief. Two, the libs are going to torture themselves by watching it live and live tweeting about it on Bluesky.
The protests should be epic. HitlerPig wants his big beautiful parade, so there should be multiple blockages, forcing it to stop, so that authorities have to keep clearing the road before it can continue. The world will watch his own citizens making a mess of his huge propaganda event, and twisting it to make a propaganda event of their own.
The assassination attempt really rewired his brain huh
We all wish it had done more than that
like reeeally rewire his brain
A thorough deworming, if you will
His face and the expression on his face are about as unTrumpian as can be. Plus - maybe it's the photo but it looks like he has a faint mustache too. It makes me think of the host of a kid's tv show. Like Captain Kangaroo.

Edit
I merged the two images together. I'm shocked how good a match they are.
That's because it's a bit account, and I'm 90% sure it was based on an old pic of Joe Piscopo
Carlos Mencia lookin ass
Mr. Steal Yo Joke
What a sad, pointless, and pathetic life Gary must live.
Gary is a bit
libs care more about this than Mahmoud Khalil
God dammit stop posting this shit to art subs. I already have chronic nausea.
I don't know if you'll like this or not. But at least it's not political - https://hexbear.net/post/4577314
The way it's painted I half expect his mouth to work like a Predator mandible
A Bluesky post by NBC news - https://bsky.app/profile/nbcnews.com/post/3lmlqsqkaq32l
This is the top reply and there are other similar replies.
the assassination attempt was staged.
fuck this.
They're still on the bullshit that it was fake, huh?
It's far from a mainstream opinion at Bluesky. A more typical POV is "America wasn't ready for an amazingly qualified black woman president."
Literally could have just hanged the actual photo and it would be a hundred times better.
Looks like a weird one shot from the "Preacher" comic book series. An alternate reality where Arseface becomes president.
From style this painting reminds of the art in nazi germany and fascist Italy: a heroic, over-emotional figure; technically mediocre, aimed at scoring quick points with uneducated masses. Look up images of “Italian Fascist art” - the parallels are easily recognizable. This is worrisome. Fascism tends to start by replacing “free art” and redefining what is to be regarded as really “beautiful” and politically acceptable. Combined with the book burnings that are now taking place (not yet on the streets, but digitally and in libraries and photo archives), and the deportations, it should be obvious to even the biggest idiot where this is heading.
It's probably just AI trash and Mark Lipp isn't real. Why pay an artist when you can blah blah
He's a real guy. His typical style is gaudy and horrible "graffiti"-style crap featuring pop culture references - https://www.artsy.net/artist/marc-lipp
I assumed he'd be a yuge fan of Trump and he'd have a lot to say about the president. But I googled again and I couldn't find a single word.
"What if I traced portraits and jokerfied them?" - Mark Lipp's entire oeuvre
How much would it suck to be a real artist who has so little to express that people mistake you for AI?
I assume he wasn't selling much so he painted the visual hagiography of Trump to build his brand to get some of that sweet, sweet "own the libs!" money from rich chuds.
people mistake you for AI
I live in an touristy Southwestern American city renown for its art. Pffft. As you can imagine - the art is usually soulless and ranges in visual appeal all the way from bland to bad. Most of the time it has a Southwestern vibe because - of course - that's what sells.
That is typical. It's 36" x 36" and it costs five grand.
The bison itself is interesting and obviously drawing from Cubism. Pallette knife painting can be pretty challenging to do. Where it loses me is everything else. It needed to go all-in on the Cubism and knife work, including the background. The brushstrokes really distract from the work done on the bison and makes the painting look unfinished.
I fuck with this though
I mean stealing real artists' shit is how you get ai
between this and the hardliners now wearing little gold lumpy trump head lapel pins
i wonder if they replaced the mandatory amerikkkan flag or put the head next to it
Doesn't even fit in the space. And it's hung crooked. Also why does his chin and lips look like crumpled aluminum foil? Also what's going on with that guy in the lower right? Are his eyes buttholes? Where is his nose? Where is his mouth? This is just AI slop. Absolute clown shit.
Does anyone know if there’s any evidence it was staged? Doubt it, but the whole thing and that pose was a little too perfect.
No way he would've agreed to getting grazed by some failshot groyper.
Man, that belt buckle got him a lot of mileage.
